About the 2019 Challenge
The 2019 Kingdom Hackathon is the 2nd edition of the annual innovation challenge focused on solving social problems through technology. The event brings together developers and other innovators who are mentored by subject matter experts to provide solution to a given challenge.
Kingdom Hackathon is part of RCCG YAYA’s strategic alignment with other global actors to collaborate in tackling some of the key global challenges captured in the United Nations SDGs.

“How can we use technology to inspire and enable sustainable redistribution of wealth and greater generosity?”
Anyone with solution that can enable sustainable redistribution of wealth can apply. The call is open to startups whose solution fit the above challenge.
It should be noted that this call is not for those who have ideas.

Bootcamp for Top 10

Bootcamp – 7th February 2020
After the close of applications, the top 10 entries will be selected. All applicants will receive necessary information on the status of their entries via email and/or SMS notifications.
The top 10 entries will be invited for a bootcamp where they will get access to Coach-Mentors, Capacity Building, stakeholders and strategic partnerships. The bootcamp will prepare selected entries for the demo day.

Demo day and announcement of winner – 8th February 2020
One winner will emerge on the demo day. The will receive necessary support which will include guiding their solution to scale; linking and identifying relevant stakeholder to buy into solution and provide specialized assistance.
